I purchased this heater for several reasons. I liked the fact it can be mounted on the wall and for the various functions and price. like setting the digital temperature control, which the heater will shut off at it’s desired level and it’s own built in Ground Fault interrupter switch.

I’m retired so I haven’t used the the function of having the heater to come on at a desired time.

This model does put out the heat so it should be ample for an average size bathroom.

The reason I did not give it 5 stars as it does not have a turn off switch when tipped over; shame though it wasn’t included; but over all I do recommend this model whole heartily

I purchased mine on the “Bay” for $20.00

Heats up a medium sized room well and makes it quite cozy when the rest of the house is cold. Like the bathroom safety features. Like the digital thermostat. Timer is very convenient. Easy to set clock. Doesn’t have tip over protection, but haven’t seen any other heater in this category that does. It stands pretty stable, so would be hard to tip this one over anyway. Overheat protection is nice. Not ultra quiet, but fine with me. Handle is nice. Quite light in weight. Cord is long enough. Good looking heater too!

Definitely does have one little annoyance, though. Every time the heater is unplugged, the clock setting is lost, and the next time the heater is plugged in, the 12:00 keeps flashing!!!

I am using it for bathroom. Want the bathroom hot enough in cold winter mornings.

Timer feature starts the heater 15 minutes before I get up, so the room is warm when I enter.

Picked up this heater at one of the “mart” stores a few months ago. It warms up a small to mid sized room pretty quickly. It has a molded handle built into the top of the heater, making it easy to carry from room to room. Its a little bigger that some of the other personal sized fans in the same price range. Has a digital clock. You can set the heater to turn off/on at certain time. Also has thermostat controls to turn on/off when certain temp is reached. Can also set heater to stay on. Also has a fan only (no heat) setting. It is listed as a bathroom fan, but it works fine in any room. It has an ALCI plug to prevent overheating. It’s a little too bulky to mount on a wall, but sits just fine on a table or on the floor. Flat gray plastic body. The plastic body stays warm to the touch even after an hour or more of use. Only the metal grate in front is hot (but not burning hot) to the touch. Overall a good quality heater/fan combo.

    Pros:

-Heat is quick and strong. Good directional heat.

-Good size and weight. Not too heavy, Sturdy enough plastic body.

-Easy to pick up and move to another room. Sits flats, no worries about tipping over.

-Timer, clock and thermostat controls to regulate temp and running times.

-Safe for use in bathroom or other slightly damp area.

    Cons.

-Uses a lot of electricity. Saw a noticeable change in electric bill after frequent use. Lights in room dim for a second when heater is tuned on.

-No heat or fan level setting. Its ether ON of OFF. No LOW, MED or High setting for heat of for fan.

-Control take a little while to learn. Luckily they printed instruction on side of heater.

-Clock resets to blinking 12:00 when unplugged and plugged back in. No clock memory.

I’ve been using this Sunbeam bathroom heater for about a month now with no problems. This is the first bathroom heater I’ve ever owned, so I unfortunately don’t have anything to compare it to.

With that said, I purchased this solely for use in my small bathroom since it gets quite chilly in there, and so far it’s kept it nice and warm. :) I think the heater is a bit noisy, but on the other hand…at least I’m not cold!

As other reviewers have said, the clock resets every time the heater is unplugged, though I haven’t had a need for it yet. I’ve tested out the functions, like the timer, stay on, fan, and the digital thermostat, all of which work great. Also, when you turn the power off while it’s still running, it switches to fan mode and counts down from 10 seconds before turning off.

During the initial use, there IS a rather strong plastic smell but it seems to gradually dissipate with use, though I may just be getting used to it.
