RCF Wins Webby Award

RCF, in association with Stellar Transmedia, was recently awarded a 2007 Webby Award for Best Online Film/Video in the Reality category. The award-winning project, “Lost Bags, Lost Souls: A Skiing Misadventure” is a 21st century travelogue chronicling an expedition to India’s Ladakh region. In winning the award, RCF beat out some noteworthy competition including MSN Entertainment and A&E Network. The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. Established in 1996, this year’s competition received over 8,000 entries from over 60 countries.

"The Line" Wins Peoples' Choice at Alpinist Film Festival

“The Line” was awarded a People’s Choice Award at the 2007 Alpinist Film Festival in jackson Hole, Wyoming. Said Christian Beckwith, festival director, “The Line…is a great story of adventure, captured with a level of expertise that distinguishes it from other ski films.” A 22-minute version of “The Line” will be airing on select network affiliates, in-flight programs, and cable networks starting in September 2007.

Rattle Can Films has moved…to the Future!

Futuristic Films, that is. This past April, the principle partners of RCF embarked on a new venture with Jasper Gray, a Denver, Colorado-based commercial director. In December, the result of that venture, Futuristic Films, acquired Rattle Can Films.

Starting in 2008, the companies will operate jointly under the new name, Futuristic Films out of a Denver-based production office and studio. Details to follow shortly.

Our work has appeared on National Geographic Television and shown at over a dozen film festivals including the Newport Beach Film Festival, Telluride Mountain Film Festival and Banff Mountain Film Festival. We also produce commercial and promotional content for a select group of international clients.
