Inside Out: Patio Furniture’s Revival

March 9th, 2010

Old patio furniture is having a revival and it couldn’t be more evident now that husband and wife duo, Cheryl and Gary Antonio  have gotten their hands on it and given it their own new colorful twist. At their company, Gardenhouse, the Antonio’s hunt down vintage patio furniture from flea markets, antique stores and dealers, which they then refurbish. The final product is a reupholstered, and vibrantly painted version of its former self and not to mention that what used to be relegated to the lawn looks just as good indoors after the Antonio’s work their magic.  Cheryl, a former photographer and Gary, an artist, both have a keen eye for what pops and their modern take on vintage furniture does just that with loveseats and chairs in cherry red and lime green to lamps and tables in teal and lemon yellow with graphic fabric prints.

1950’s chair and table sets just like this one from Kimball & Bean are the couple’s passion and with furniture as fun as this you’ll want to bring the garden party indoors this winter.
