My bedroom only gets vacuumed once a week (saturdays). With the cat shedding so much this summer I’ve been vacuuming a little more than usual..
My room doesnt really get dirty (other than my cat who basically doesnt leave my room). I dont eat in here, nobody wears shoes in here..so theirs really not a lot of dirt or crums that get tracked through here…
How often should i be vacuuming. Does once every other day sound reasonable?

purchase a vacume head that vibrates and has one of those motorized roller brushes and not only will it do the job better it will do it quicker and a whole lot easier thus allowing you to do it less frequently.
how do i know…..i own cats and the vacume is fantastic.

Darling you do what you think is right, your do good, I’d vacumb only once a week normaly but if a mess is made I do it more often. I have beautiful cat that lives in my computer room and where I do Painting, it’s a mess, hair all over, Jimmy.

If you have allergies, you need to vacuum everyday. You are probably getting litter tracked through your room also from the cat and I would want to get that up everyday.

I think the answer to this is personal preference. I have three cats and vacuum once or twice a week. My carpet is whitish so it never looks dirty from their shedding….so, it depends on the color of your carpet, if you have allergies (or anyone else in the house), and just how much time you have…if you have time to do it every day or every other day then great—go for it!
