I got this toy looking for a sturdy scratching post to keep my kitten from scratching the furniture. I was also looking for something she would enjoy sitting on and playing with as she grew up. I especially wanted to do this without breaking the bank.

For the most part, I got everything I wanted and more. My kitten loves it. She scratches on it, jumps off it and scoots through the tube. She loves to sit in the tube and jump out at the dog! The hanging fuzzy toy was an added bonus. She is not strong or destructive enough to destroy it like other reviewer’s cats, so it’s still going strong after several weeks, even though she plays with it many times a day.

It’s lightweight, easy to put together and easy to rearrange if she starts to get bored. My biggest issue with this product is that it’s not extremely sturdy and I think I’m going to have to secure it to the wall at some point as she gets bigger. Also worth noting is that this is a toy for small cats and kittens. It works perfectly for my 5lb, 6 month old kitten and should serve her well even as an adult because she’s very small – but it would NEVER have worked for our massive 19lb ragdoll.

In general, a very nice product – especially for the price – but not one for big cats and not the most sturdy of cat toys.

Before going to the local rescue shelter and adopting a cute little kitten last summer, I knew that we would need to provide a scratching post for the newest member of our household (especially since I didn’t want the upholstered furniture to be clawed and shredded). Thankfully, the little guy went to this new scratching post right away, and with the help of a trusty water bottle he hasn’t tore up our furniture at all (he’s one cool cat).

The B2501 Sky Blue Cat Furniture Tower pet tree 3-level is a well-designed, attractive and sturdy piece of cat furniture that not only serves as a scratching post, but as a tower and play center, too.

Our cat is now a lovable one-year-old, and even at ten pounds he still hops up on the 26-inch-high tower many times a day with no problems (it’s placed next to a special upstairs window so that he can see outside). He has only turned it over a couple of times, and he still likes to occasionally crawl into the tube. The puff-ball/string toy didn’t last very long, but he enjoyed it for a little while, anyway.

The B2501 Sky Blue Cat Furniture Tower pet tree 3-level is compact and measures only 24″(L)x14″(W)x26″(H); so while it doesn’t take up a lot of space, it still adequately serves it’s purpose. And with it’s neatly attached sky blue carpet covering, it looks nice, too.

Now, if I can only get him to stay off of the kitchen table when nobody’s watching him…
